Sorry for the silence here, guys! I left for two weeks out of town on Sunday, and I haven’t really had any computering time. Just wanted to let you guys know I’m still here and ALSO, to point my fellow yarnies to this lovely contest over on the Martha’s Vineyard Fiber Farm blog:
To enter, you have to add ShepardSusie to your Twitter feed and tweet a link to the contest. While you’re over in Twitter, feel free to add me too: bsveum. Though be warned: I often swear like a drunken sailor and my tweets are mostly about my life (though occasionally there’s a bit of crafty goodness, like when I ramble about my love for Cascade Sierra and my dislike of nupps).
As far as crafting: I shall be back soon (ish) with pictures of a tank top (Lelah), a pair of gloves, and a swap package I sent out but forgot to snap pictures of. Stay tuned!
So remember that cable cardi, the one I finished except for the buttons, which I was going to sew once I got back to school and then take lovely pictures of? Even though it was going to be lovely and warm for a week?
Well, I left it in the car when I came back to school. And also it’s snowing. Interestingly, though, it is snowing quite a lot, but it doesn’t seem to be sticking or it’s melting faster than it’s melting. Interesting.
Anyway, the point is, there won’t be FO pictures of the cabled cardigan for a while. : ( There will, however, be FO pictures of Hey Teach when I finish it, which should be soon. It knits up so quickly that it’s ridiculous. I haven’t had as much knitting time as I’m used to, and I’ve already finished a sleeve, the back, and a front. Lovely. : ) So that’s to come.
Also to come are swap things. I’m in two swaps at the moment, a quotes swap and a tree swap. I have one project left to craft for both of those, so I should be sending out within a week or two. When everything is received, I’ll post pics of the lovely things I made for the swaps, all of which I am RIDICULOUSLY proud of.
Whatup, kids?
Bad news: I suffered a computer crash recently, so the most interneting I can do is on the school lab computers and my beautiful, lovely, amazing BlackBerry, without which I would have long since lost my mind. Anyway this means few new posts and no new Ravelry pictures. Sad, I know.
But because I know you’re still interested, I’ll tell you that I started and finished Talia (still needs buttons though) and a pair of mittens, pattern my own. More details and pictures when I get this whole computer clusterfuck resolved. And that’s not a candy bar. I’m also fixing to start a Meret for my sister, pictures and details also to follow the clusterfuck. I also have some things I can’t blog quite yet anyway because they are for a swap. You’ll see, you’ll see.
Anyway, there’s going to a bit of a waiting period as I have to backup everything on my laptop and reload the software and/or get a desktop in the meantime, which is a distinct possibility.
Thank for your patience, guys!
